U15 Hockey notch up comprehensive 6-0 win

The King’s U15A team continued their winning way with a comprehensive 6 nil win over Avondale College. In cold wet conditions King’s started with clear intent to play an expansive passing game. Toby Irvine and Max Stening led by example and opened the opposition up with cross the field passing out of congestion and into space. It was this passing that created havoc in Avondale’s defence and led to the first three goals. These were scored by Johnny Cole, Tom Lindberg and Toby Irvine.

The second half continued in the same vain with King’s attacking well out wide, going around the opposition and creating scoring opportunities in the circle. Three more goals were added to the tally with Tom Lindberg, Toby Irvine and Rush Gosney slotting home after a number of great passes. It was a superb team effort with all the layers (strikers, insides, halves and backs) working well together playing intelligent, constructive and attacking hockey.
