King’s Junior Touch team secure South Auckland title Posted on November 20, 2018 (December 1, 2018) by jimpotts Another South Auckland Touch title was secured in somewhat wet conditions this evening. King’s Juniors dispatched Aorere 10-0 in the final round-robin game before comprehensively beating Otahuhu in the final 11-4. While the scores accurately reflect the dominance on attack, the team were suitably disappointed at conceding 4 tries in the final. This now qualifies the squad to play the Regional Champs next Tuesday where they will attempt to defend their title. Player of the final was Budda Doyle who set-up some wonderful tries out wide and scored a couple for good measure as well. Trey Alatini showed excellent composure on attack to score some easy dives close to the line and Troy Faiva capitalized on strong driving to get a long range touch-down. The Champion Squad was: Troy Faiva, Trey Alatini, Harry Kaveriri, Francis Manuleleua, Maikel Tuala, Jack Elliot, Jarius Iosefa, Harry Lethbridge-Ralph, Joshua Schaaf, Che Clark, Budda Doyle and Senio Pulega.
