Netball underway with some promising results

A great start to the season with two out of three wins in our first grading games of the competition. Great teamwork was seen across all games with the girls putting into play all that they have learnt in training and on the Sydney tour. We were also very lucky to have some great support on the sidelines as well as some lovely weather! Bring on the next grading games.

Senior A match report:

The King’s girls should be very proud of themselves in their first game. The girls appeared to be fit and strong and worked well as a team. The mid-court fought hard to win many turnovers. They then fed the ball nicely into our shooters, Lucy McLaren and Sophie Adams, who both shot goals beautifully.

Senior B match report:

A tough match to start the season, however the girls played valiantly in their first grading match. They have not been perturbed and have resolved to come back fighting next week for the next round of grading games!

The King’s B:

The team had a tough start to their first game of the season but worked hard after half time and managed to draw the second half of the game. The team worked well together and demonstrated their resilience throughout the game. A promising start to the season.

King’s Blue:

Despite being disappointed by the result Team Blue showed great teamwork and passion on the court. They hope to fair better in the next round of grading matches next week.

King’s Black – NA (defaulted)

King’s Red:

A tough start to the season, however the girls are motivated to succeed in our next round of grading matches next Saturday.

King’s Gold:

A beautiful day was a fitting start to this season of netball. Some outstanding shooting by Mila, Tavy, Sophia and Ruby, supported by a strong mid court layout, led to a very successful first result in the team’s first grading match. It was brilliant to have such a strong turn out of King’s parents and whanau to support the girls too.
