Cycling is a winter sport at King’s College taking place during Terms Two and Three. Students involved in cycling are expected to train twice a week with the coaches, and also undertake further training sessions by themselves. Riders in the senior squad would be expected to attend three sessions per week plus additional individual training. The King’s cycling team competes in the Auckland Secondary Schools Time Trial series and also enters other big events including the North Island and National Championships. There is a small cost associated with cycling to cover coaching and other associated expenses.
